[NMLN] Professional Intern opening for UNM College of Nursing online course support

  The UNM College of Nursing is seeking to fill a Professional Intern / 
Technical position to assist in development and support of online classes.

The is a developmental, fixed term (typically 1-2 Years) career-path 
position restricted to University graduates who have obtained their 
degrees, typically within 12 months of date of hire.

Funding available through 06/30/2012; continuance beyond that date is 
subject to the Department's operational needs as outlined in UBPPM 
#3200, Employee Classifications.

The College of Nursing is looking for a flexible, talented professional 
with the desire and ability to support online courses, multiple websites 
and various classroom technologies including Audio/Visual and 
Multi-media. Willingness to learn Medical Simulation Support is required 
along with assisting in basic desktop support.

The Primary focus of the position is as an entry-level course designer 
who undertakes a range of on-going development and production of 
web-based courses. A second important focus of this position is ongoing 
support for faculty as well as graduate and undergraduate students. The 
position requires knowledge and expertise of Instructional Design and 
Distance Education.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent verbal and 
written communication skills, a strong understanding of educational 
strategies and familiarity with online pedagogical strategies, a 
customer service focus, strong computer skills, including creating 
content for the web, and training adults. This person will be 
self-motivated in maintaining current knowledge of the latest hardware 
and software technologies, as well as best practices of online learning 
and will possess strong organizational skills.

Lastly, the intern will work with faculty to analyze needs, determine 
goals, objectives and appropriate delivery methods, as well as media 
instruction in the online environment.
This includes but not limited to:
# Instructional design
# Online course production
# Technical and operational support
# Course migration
# Training documentation
