Call for Presentation Papers

New Mexico State University will host the 23rd Annual New Mexico Council for Higher Education and Computing Services (CHECS) Conference this year on October 6-8 at the New Mexico State University Corbett Center Student Union.

This year’s conference theme is “Expanding Horizons” and will focus on three primary tracks: Administrative Support & Technology, Academic Support & Technology and Technology.

Your paper, presentation, panel or tutorial is what makes this conference a yearly success! Show your IT stuff, how you do IT, how to do IT, how IT affects you or discuss IT. Each year we hear that we need more “birds-of-a-feather” sessions. To make this happen, we need you to volunteer to facilitate such a session.

Share your ideas and initiatives at your institution regarding: Oracle, Banner, Banner Reporting Tools, Luminis, Microsoft, WebCT, Enterprise Applications, Data Warehouse, Disaster Recovery, Networking, Wireless Networks, Security, Linux, Video/Data/Voice over IP, Library Automation, Distance Education, Internet2, Staff Retention, Student Portals or any other application of technology on your campus.

Submit your idea or abstract* of your presentation by e-mail on or before August 20, 2004 to:
Joe Gieri, Presentation Chair, at jgieri@tvi.edu and
Shawna Quintana, Conference Coordinator, at Shawna@nmsu.edu

Conference attendees vote on the best presentation and all submitted presentations are published at www.checs.net.

Questions or Comments: contact Joe Gieri, at jgieri@tvi.edu or go to www.checs.net for more information.

*Your abstract should state the title, presenter name(s), time requirements “no more than 45 minutes”, special need requirement (i.e. Internet access, projection needs, etc.)

Please take a look at last years presentations
